China 1998: Xinjiang province. First time I was in China I was travelling in a group. That was back in 1978, shortly after the death of Mao. China have certainly changed a lot since those days. I 1998 I had a short visit to Xinjiang in the western part of the country, but it was not before 2002, when I travelled for about two month all over China, that I realised how much it really have changed.
