Brazil 1989: Amazonas. In 1978 I visited Rio de Janeiro and the Iguacu Falls.  Then in 1989 I was 14 days in the Amazonas area. I went down from Venezuela, and sailed a couple of days downstream to Manaus. I had to do like the locals did. Buy a hammock and put it up somewhere on the boat.
